  • Biographical / Historical

    Historical romance magazine have stories that take place in the past. The genre is ambiguous as romance is defined differently to many readers. The historical aspect should as a rule be a plausible story line for the time period. Walter Scott is usually considered to be the father of historical romance.

    This is a collection of 504 historical romance magazines representing 73 titles from 1951 at the earliest to the latest at 1993.
